  • Food and beverage manufacturers.
  • Oil extraction and processing plants.
  • Industrial users of solid minerals.
  • Wholesale distributors and retailers of raw materials.

Whether you are a large industrial buyer or a growing regional distributor, we structure our
supply terms to support your operations for the long term.

Which regions do you ship to?

We ship worldwide, with a strong focus on:

  • North & South America
  • Europe
  • Middle East & Asia

Our logistics network and shipping partners allow us to deliver to major ports across these regions
efficiently and reliably.

2. Products & Quality Assurance

What commodities do you supply?

We focus on agricultural commodities and solid minerals of African origin. Our agricultural portfolio
typically includes products such as:

  • Solid Minerals
  • Peanuts / Groundnuts
  • Raw Cashew Nuts (RCN)
  • Cocoa Beans
  • Spices, nuts and other agro commodities (on request)

On the minerals side, we source and export selected solid minerals according to buyer specifications
and regulatory requirements.

How do you ensure product quality and consistency?

Quality control begins at the source. We work directly with farmers, cooperatives and licensed miners,
and we implement:

  • Standardised grading and sorting at origin.
  • Moisture, size and defect checks before packing.
  • Random sampling from each lot before loading.
  • Sealed and properly labelled export packaging.

For buyers requiring third-party confirmation, independent inspection can be arranged.

Do you provide SGS or other third-party inspection?

Yes. Third-party inspection and certification (such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna, etc.) can be
arranged when requested by the buyer. The scope of inspection may include:

  • Pre-shipment quality and quantity verification.
  • Sampling and lab analysis (moisture, defects, aflatoxins and other parameters).
  • Loading supervision and seal verification.

Responsibility for inspection costs is agreed in the contract or sales confirmation.

Can I request a product specification sheet before placing an order?

Absolutely. For key products, we provide detailed product specification sheets outlining:

  • General characteristics (origin, crop year, grade).
  • Physical and chemical parameters.
  • Defect tolerances and moisture levels.
  • Packing, loading and shipment details.

These specs form part of the basis for the contract and any inspections performed.

Do you offer samples?

Yes, samples can be provided depending on the product and destination. Sample cost and courier charges
may be for the buyer’s account. For serious volume enquiries, we can often offset sample costs against
a confirmed order.

3. Pricing, Minimum Order & Payment Terms

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ depends on the product:

  • For many commodities, we can start from 1–5 MT for trial orders.
  • Best pricing is usually achieved at container level (for example, 20–25 MT or more).

We are flexible with new buyers and often recommend a trial shipment before scaling up.

How are your prices quoted (FOB, CIF, CFR)?

Our prices can be quoted under various Incoterms, typically:

  • FOB – Free on Board at a designated port.
  • CFR / CNF – Cost and Freight to the discharge port.
  • CIF – Cost, Insurance and Freight to the discharge port.

The chosen Incoterm will be clearly stated in our quotation and Proforma Invoice.

Which payment terms do you accept?

Payment terms are agreed based on order size, buyer profile and country risk. Common options include:

  • Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) – advance or split payments.
  • Irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C) – at sight, from recognised banks.

In all cases, payment terms are clearly defined before contract signing and shipment.

Are your prices fixed or subject to change?

Commodity prices are influenced by global market conditions, freight rates and seasonal factors. Our
quotations are time-bound and valid for a clearly stated period. Once a contract is signed and any
agreed deposit is received, the price for that shipment is fixed according to the contract.

4. Shipping, Packaging & Lead Times

Which shipping lines and methods do you use?

We work with leading global carriers and logistics partners for sea freight and, where applicable,
air or express shipments. This allows us to offer reliable transit times and competitive rates to
major ports worldwide.

What are your typical lead times?

Lead time depends on product availability, inspection requirements and vessel schedules. As a guide:

  • For in-stock commodities: typically 7–21 days after payment/LC confirmation.
  • For specially sourced or produced items: timelines are agreed case by case.

Exact shipment windows are always communicated before finalising the contract.

How are your products packed?

Packing is tailored to each commodity and buyer preference. Examples include:

  • Woven polypropylene sacks (various weights).
  • Jute bags for nuts and beans.
  • Big bags, pallets, crates or bulk loads for certain materials.

All export packs are seaworthy and labelled according to buyer and regulatory requirements.

Can you handle fumigation and phytosanitary requirements?

Yes. For agricultural commodities, we can arrange fumigation, phytosanitary certificates and other
health-related documentation where required by the destination country. These services are agreed in
advance and reflected in the contract.

5. Documentation, Compliance & Risk Management

What documents do you provide with each shipment?

Standard export documents typically include:

  • Commercial Invoice.
  • Packing List.
  • Bill of Lading or Airway Bill.
  • Certificate of Origin (where required).
  • Inspection or quality certificates (if requested).

Additional documents (phytosanitary, fumigation, insurance, etc.) can be arranged as required.

Do you comply with international trade and sanctions regulations?

Yes. Oriode Commodities Ltd fully respects international trade regulations, including sanctions and
restricted-country guidelines. We do not engage in trade that violates applicable laws or
regulations. All counterparties and routes are checked for compliance.

What if there is a discrepancy in quality or quantity on arrival?

Any issues must be documented immediately upon arrival and supported by independent inspection or
survey reports where possible. Our contracts typically outline:

  • Accepted tolerances for quality and quantity.
  • Procedures for claims and dispute resolution.

We believe in fair, transparent resolution and long-term partnerships, and we review each case on its
merits.

6. Partnership, Customisation & Long-Term Supply

Can you customise specifications to our factory requirements?

In many cases, yes. We can work with you to align:

  • Moisture and defect tolerances.
  • Packaging type, labelling and palletisation.
  • Inspection scope and testing parameters.

Share your technical specification, and our team will confirm what can be matched or improved upon.

Do you support long-term supply agreements?

Yes. We welcome long-term offtake and framework agreements with serious buyers. These arrangements
often include:

  • Volume commitments.
  • Pricing structures linked to market movements.
  • Reserved production or sourcing capacity.

Long-term partnerships help us plan production and logistics more efficiently and can unlock better
pricing and priority allocation for you.

How do I start working with Oriode Commodities Ltd?

You can start by sending us:

  • Your company details and brief profile.
  • The product(s) you are interested in.
  • Required quantity, Incoterm and destination port.
  • Any specific technical or quality requirements.

Based on this, we will prepare a tailored quotation and, where helpful, propose a trial shipment
